Springfield, Ill. – The Maryville women's cross country squad ran to a fifth-place finish at the 2024 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships in Springfield, Ill. Lyric Ford was first for the Saints and 15th overall to earn All-Conference honors. Maryville amassed 162 team points out of 14 squads.
 
Ford ran the 6K course in 22:10.23, while Mallorie Metzger clocked a 22:49.13 to take second on the team. Savannah Lesher was third in 23:19.99, and Maddie Marschel finished in 23:03.89. Fatimah Almamori was Maryville's fifth-place finisher at 24:08.60. Emma Neal completed the race in 24:15.09, while Olivia Clive came home in 25:05.12.
 
Lewis won the team title with a perfect score of 15, Flyer senior Hannah Smrcka won the race in a time of 20:53.42.
