LOUIS – Momentum is plentiful for the No. 8-ranked Maryville women's soccer team as they are set to host the quarterfinals of the GLVC tournament on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. The Saints, who enter as the No. 1-seed, sit as the only undefeated team in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, finishing the year 13-0-1 in GLVC action, including a six-game winning streak heading into the postseason.

The Saints will face off against the No. 8-seeded Truman State Bulldogs for their quarter-final battle. It's a short turnaround for these two as the Saints trampled the Bulldogs just a week ago on Nov. 1 in a
3-0 result at home.

All the action will be streamed on GLVCSN.com with the familiar voice of John Edwards providing you with commentary all throughout the action. All seven postseason games will be streamed live behind a paywall on the GLVC Sports Network at GLVCSN.com, on Android and iOS mobile apps, as well as OTT apps via AppleTV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV. With a victory for the Saints, they will head north to Creve Coeur Park for the semifinal contests on Thursday, Nov. 14, while the final will take place Saturday, Nov. 16.

TALE OF THE TAPE
This season the Saints have recorded multiple goals in every game of their season except for one, their lone tie, they have scored four or more goals on six occasions, including a 8-0 beatdown of
William Jewell. Against the Bulldogs it was all Saints as they gave up zero shots all 90 while taking an overwhelming 27, 15 on goal.

Maryville led the entire GLVC in goals and goals against, averaging 3.188 this year while conceding just five. For the bulldogs, they ranked eighth in the conference in scoring margin, giving up an 1.06 per game while slotting one goal in a contest.

Individually,
Elsa Nilson-Hurtig led the Saints offensively with 29 points on the year on 10 goals and 9 assists. She was not alone as
Ashlyne Hunt added on her own 10 goals with an assist as well. The Saints occupy two of the top three assists leaders as two-time All-American
Lexi Gentry sits third in the GLVC.

On the defensive end,
Agnes Vilen has been a wall between the posts, carrying a .889 saves percentage with 11 shutouts on the season.
