INDIANAPOLIS – Anna Maxwell earned the third Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Bowling Athlete of the Week award of her career and second of the season on Thursday. Maryville was selected for its second weekly award in three weeks and its third total in 2023-24.
 
The Westland, Mich., native filled 90 percent of the time in Baker play over the weekend at the Prairie View A&M Invitational, with an average score of 200, a strike 45.7 percent of the time, and a spare 81.6 percent of the time.
 
In traditional play, she saw an average score of 195.7 to put her 29^th of 94 individual bowlers. She had an 88.3 percent fill, along with a strike percentage of 40 and a spare percentage of 80.6. Her best game in traditional play came in a 984-817 victory over Southern University where she posted a 219.
 
Maxwell and the Saints will host their next tournament, the Columbia 300 Saints Invite, starting Friday, Feb. 2, at Bowlero in Valley Park, Mo.
