The Maryville University men's volleyball program will have a league home as the Great Lakes Valley Conference announced that it will start sponsoring the sport for the 2025-26 academic year. The inaugural season of competition will be spring 2026 and will feature seven institutions, including the Saints, Missouri S&T, Quincy, Rockhurst and Southwest Baptist. In addition, associate members Roosevelt University and Thomas More University will compete in the GLVC.

Maryville has been competing as an independent in men's volleyball since the 2022 season. The Saints have posted 51 wins in three years of play, all under the direction of head coach
Mike Haston. Maryville is coming off its most successful season in program history with a 21-8 record that featured a 13-match winning streak.
The inaugural GLVC Men's Volleyball Championship Tournament will be April 23-25, 2026, as a four-team single elimination format at a site to be determined. Men's volleyball brings the number of NCAA Championship sports sponsored by the GLVC to 25.
