Women’s Cross Country Team Earns First Regional Ranking

For the first time in program history, the Maryville University women's cross country team is ranked in the NCAA Division II Midwest Region. The Saints are ranked ninth in the by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross County Coaches Association in the Week 5 poll.
 
The Saints, who are enjoying a banner season, are the only other Great Lakes Valley Conference team in the regional rankings as Lewis checks in at No. 3 in the region. As a team, Maryville has one runner-up finish as well as two third-place appearances. Freshman Ilene Limberg was the overall race winner at the Gabby Reuveni Invitational. Lyric Ford took 11th place overall and was the first non-Division I runner at the Bradley Intercollegiate Meet. She also finished 13th overall at the prestigious Gans Creek Classic and helped the Saints take third out of 20 teams.
 
The Saints are next in competition at the 2025 GLVC Championships Saturday, Oct. 25, in a 9:30 a.m. race at the Lewis University Cross Country course.
