COLUMBIA, MO. - The Maryville women's cross country squad finished in third place at the Gans Creek Classic in Columbia, Mo., contested on a hot afternoon on the NCAA Division I National Championship course. The Saints posted 120 team points in the field of 20 squads.
Lyric Ford finished 13th overall in a 6K time of 22:30.0 out of 238 finishers.
Ilene Limberg took 20th overall and came home in 17:42.1.
Mallorie Metzger was next for Maryville at 22:58.9, while
Maddie Marschel covered the distance in 23:28.1.
Fatimah Almamori was the fifth-place finisher for the Saints and came home in 23:47.1.
Emma Neal was next across the line in 24:14.6, and
Olivia Clive was seventh with a time of 24:47.4
Washburn claimed team honors with a score of 81, just ahead of Division I Southeast Missouri State's 85 points, followed by the Saints.
The Saints do not compete again until the Lewis University Crossover Meet Saturday, Oct. 11.
