Saints Women's Tennis Takes Two Singles Matches Versus Southwest Baptist

SAPPINGTON, MO. - The Maryville women's team battled against Southwest Baptist but dropped a 5-2 decision Saturday at Vetta Sunset Courts.
 
Nazli Saka and Isabella Alvarez won their No. 2 doubles match by a 6-3 score but the Bearcats took the other two contests to earn the doubles point.
 
Alvarez picked up the first point of the match for the Saints as she took a 7-6, 6-1 decision in the fourth singles position. Carolina Velazquez rolled to a 6-4 6-1 victory at the fifth singles slot. However, SBU won the remaining singles decisions to take the match.
