Makai Scott's 17 kills, the Maryville men's volleyball team won its fifth straight via a sweep at Missouri S&T. The Saints posted a 25-23, 25-22, 25-18 decision. Scott hit .367 in the match and narrowly missed a double-double with nine skill, while
Luke Kraft also reached double figures in kills with 11.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Miners led for nearly the entire first set but the Saints tied the score at 14-14. Missouri S&T went back ahead 17-14. Maryville rallied again and got the gap down to 18-17. The Saints then scored five straight. After a Miner error, Kraft recorded a solo block. Scott then took over. He drilled down a kill for a 19-18 lead and tacked on two more as the Saints built a three-point lead. The hosts got to within 24-23 but Scott ended the set with a termination.

Set two saw the Saints take the early lead and push the lead to 14-8. A Scott kill made it 17-11 but the Miners closed to within 18-17 and eventually tied it at 20-20.
Kevin Doran sandwiched two kills around one by
Cameron Lee for a 23-20 margin. The Miners scored two straight but Kraft notched consecutive kills to win it 25-22.

Down 7-6 in the third,
Ethan Beyreis-Heim tipped in a kill to start a 4-0 run.
David Fleischer had a kill and the Miners committed consecutive hitting errors for a 10-7 lead. Missouri S&T got to within 15-13 but scored three of the next four points. Still up 20-17, the Saints took control with three straight points. A kill by Scott and a Miner hitting error closed out the match.
