BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Maryville track and field teams, with just two meets left before the Great Lakes Valley Conference Indoor Championships, had another successful meet weekend at the Keck DIII Select hosted by Illinois Wesleyan. In total the Saints tallied 15 personal records, with
Bryson Pickard and
Emoni Owens earning the top finishes for the weekend.
Amrish Hallberg as well shattered his own weight throw record from earlier this season.

INS & OUTS
Hallberg, who finished sixth in the weight throw, became the first thrower in to wear the Big Red M to eclipse the 16-meter mark in the event. With his toss today he now holds the top-five best throws in program history.

Pickard has continued his stellar season, running a 49.33 in the 400-meter race, earning himself the top spot on the podium. Emoni Owen's second-place in the 200 meter was the top finish for the women's side with her time of 25.44 being good enough for a PR as well.

Courtney Talley, who also hit a PR in the 200, added another one in the 400 with her fourth place finish of 59.84, building upon her first career sub-minute 400m from the Washburn Open.

Sarai Brown in the 60 meter,
Justin Brewer in the 5K and
Kanden Bolton in the high jump all tallied fourth place in their events.

UP NEXT
The Saints head back to Topeka, Kan. For the Ichabod Invitational hosted by Washburn University. The action from the Sunflower State is to begin on Friday, Feb. 14, and end that Saturday, Feb. 15.
