FORT SMITH, ARK. – Effie Perakis finished in a tie for sixth place overall and helped the Maryville women's golf squad tie for ninth at the Hardscrabble Invitational in Fort Smith, Ark. The Saints shot lower scores in each round and posted 325-317-312=955. The tourney was dotted with six nationally-ranked teams in the 17-team field.
 
Perakis closed her final round by recording a birdie on her last three holes as she finished the tournament at 226 (74-79-73). She finished ahead of 10 nationally ranked individuals in the field of 91 total golfers. Fernanda Diaz-Pizarro came home with rounds of 78-78-70=240, good for 17th overall.  Maddie Vanderheyden closed the tournament with a strong push as she finished 88-78-77=243, including a pair of birdies in her final round. Ivy Lai posted round of 85-82-85=252, while Chloe Davidson finished with a final-round 79, including an eagle, to end her tourney at 263.
 
No. 29 Henderson State University took team honors at 903, while Romane Lacoste of Northwest Oklahoma State was the top individual at 218.
