O'FALLON, ILL. - The Maryville women's tennis team suffered its first Great Lakes Valley Conference loss and saw its four match winning streak end as McKendree rallied to win 4-3 Friday in O'Fallon, Ill.
 
At No. 1 doubles, Grace Brown and Luana Luersen battled for a 7-5 win, while Nazli Saka and Isabella Alvarez took their match in the second position 6-3. Victoria Lisson and Carolina Velazquez won all six games for the second straight outing as the Saints swept the three doubles contests to earn the team point.
 
Lisson was pushed to a 7-5, 7-6 win at No. 2 singles, while Velazquez cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 triumph at No. 5. However, that would be the last point Maryville would win as the Bearcats came back in singles with four wins to take the match.
