LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The 4x400 relay teams were the highlight of the weekend for the Maryville track and field teams as they sent a small contingent of runners to the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational, hosted by the University of Louisville.

The men's team of
Bryson Pickard,
Landon Oxford,
Ladarius Williams,
Terry Towah beat their record by 2 seconds, setting a mark that places them third in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. That race placed the quartet fourth in the event.

The women's team did much of the same, running a 3:55.08 with the squad of
Emoni Owens,
Sarai Brown,
Alexa Lofgren,
Courtney Talley. They beat the record from last year by over three seconds, putting them in the top five in the GLVC. The 4x100 team that saw Brown and Owens joined by
Chloe Davis and
Makayla Myers for a fifth-place finish.

Outside of the relays, the Saints tallied five more PRs, those coming from
Giovanni Jones (100m), Vindero Lightfoot (100m),
Chloe Davis (100m),
Bryson Pickard (200m) and
Ladarius Williams (400mH).

UP NEXT
The Saints travel to Romeoville, Ill. for the GLVC Outdoor Championships, hosted by Lewis. The meet starts on Thursday, May 1 and will conclude on Saturday, May 3.
