SUNSET HILLS, MO. - The Maryville women's team controlled both doubles and singles play to post a 6-1 victory over Ouachita Baptist Thursday at Vetta Sunset Tennis Center.

OBU won the doubles match at No. 1 but
Nazli Saka and
Isabella Alvarez evened the score for the Saints in the second slot by a 6-3 decision.
Victoria Lisson and
Carolina Velazquez enabled Maryville to take the team doubles point by shutting out their opponents at No. 3 6-0.

Moving into singles play, OBU won its only point of the day at No. 1 singles but the Saints prevailed in the other five matches. Lisson cruised to a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 2, while Alvarez dropped only one game to take her match in the third slot 6-1, 6-1.
Grace Brown went three sets to grab a 6-4, 1-6 10-8 decision at No. 4. Velazquez cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 decision at the fifth spot, while
Luana Luersen rallied for a 6-7, 6-1, 10-8 decision in the final singles position.
