INDIANAPOLIS - The Maryville University men's lacrosse team picked up a pair of major awards as the Great Lakes Valley Conference announced its 2026 postseason honors. For the second straight year,
John Chorlton was voted the Defensive Player of the Year, while
Wyatt Robertson was chosen the Offensive Player of the Year. The Saints had four first-team All-Conference selections, three on the second team and two Honorable Mention honorees.

Carter Bies, Chorlton,
Zach Johnson and Robertson were all named to the first team.
Tyler Jerstad,
Ben Mickett and
Shea Raeburn were second team selections, while
Connor Kvaal and
Flint Thielen were named honorable mention.

A two-time unanimous selection to the All-GLVC first team, Chorlton helped the Saints defense that ranks 16th nationally in scoring defense, allowing just 8.62 goals. He led Maryville and ranked fourth in the league in caused turnovers per game at 1.77 and grabbed 34 ground balls on the season. In addition, he scored four goals and picked up one assist.

Robertson leads the GLVC in goals (44) and goals per game (3.38) and ranks 12th nationally. He is second in the country with 10 man-up goals. Robertson had 10 multi-goal games and poured in a season-high six goals against nationally ranked opponents Alabama-Huntsville and Rollins. He posted a .664 shooting percentage on the season and recorded 34 ground balls.

Bies had 14 caused turnovers to go along with 39 ground balls. He added six assists on the season. Johnson teamed with Chorlton to form one of the best backlines in the GLVC. Johnson was second on the squad with 22 CTs and snared 28 ground balls. He also tallied a goal against Westminster.

Jerstad had 14 caused turnovers to go along with 19 ground balls and chipped in an assist. Mickett notched eight goals to go along with 11 assists and 16 ground balls. Raeburn posted a .655-win rate at the faceoff dot and led the team with 62 ground balls to go along with five goals. Kvaal was credited with one goal and six assists, while Thielen posted six goals and 14 assists.

The Saints are the No. 2 seed and take on No. 3 Rockhurst in the semifinals of the 2026 GLVC Tournament Thursday, April 24, in Romeoville, Ill.
