ST. LOUIS – The Maryville Field Hockey Team announced the hiring of Sean Hardingham as its newest assistant coach. 

Originally from the United Kingdom, Hardingham has grown up with a familiar history of field hockey, having more than 35 years of experience with the sport both as a player and as a coach. 

Hardingham has experience as a competitor at the regional level in the United Kingdom, while having worked directly in coaching roles with both male and female field hockey programs, with numerous international athletes across various age groups. 

Field Hockey is in the blood of Hardingham, with his father playing at the highest level in the United Kingdom, Germany and Holland.

A recent transplant to St. Louis as of 2023, he has been a steady force in the growing St. Louis Field Hockey community, working with clubs and high schools alike. Most recently, Hardingham served as head coach for Whitfield High School.
