Jena Casagrande made 12 saves as Maryville earned a 0-0 draw with Lewis Sunday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action. The shutout was the fourth on the season by Casagrande as the Saints played their seventh overtime game of the year.
 
The Flyers had four good scoring chances early in the first half, but Casagrande denied each attempt. The Saints drew a foul just outside of the Lewis penalty area but Alex Reis curled a shot that hit the post and bounced away. The Flyers had two more shots on goal but Maryville’s keeper pushed them both aside as the game was 0-0 after 45 minutes.
 
Cydney Robertson, who led the Saints with three shots on goal, tested Lewis keeper Arianna Nie but the shot was saved as the game eventually moved to extra sessions. The Flyers put three shots on frame in the first overtime but Casagrande would not allow a score. Robertson had the last good scoring chance for the Saints in the second OT, but the game ended as a scoreless draw.
 
The Saints are 2-7-4 overall, 1-5-4 in the GLVC. The Flyers registered their first tie of the year and are 7-4-1 overall, 5-4-1 in the league.
