For the second straight outing, the Maryville women's soccer team jumped out to an early lead. However, Wisconsin-Parkside mounted a comeback and eventually posted a 4-1 Great Lakes Valley Conference win Sunday afternoon.

At the 14:32 mark, Sam Kruse launched a pass to Amanda Wiechens whose shot deflected off a Rangers defender for a 1-0 Saints lead. The Rangers pressed on offense but Maryville's defense kept the one-goal advantage. In the waning minutes of the first half, Wisconsin-Parkside tied the score on a tally by Darby Moran.

The 1-1 halftime deadlock only lasted two minutes as Niekie Pellens scored in the 47th minute to put the Rangers ahead 2-1. Shannon Foley nearly tied the game three minutes later for Maryville but her shot was turned away. UWP then increased its advantage with another score in the 51st minute of action. The Rangers added another goal at the 54:01 mark. The Saints nearly drew one score back when Wiechens' shot hit the post but Maryville was unable to come any closer.
