JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Two more school records have fallen for Maryville track & field at the Illinois College Snowbird Invitational.
Bryson Pickard, who already broke the 400m and 600m records this season, adds the 800 meters to his resume with a 1:55.88, the program's record was previously held by Alex Elam from 2017.

The other record broken came with a NCAA provo as well as
Amel Abdul-Mumin won the triple jump with a new school record 14.57-meter leap. He was not the lone Saint to provo on the day, however, as
Sarai Brown won another 60-meter title with a time of 7.63, hitting the NCAA provo mark.

INS & OUTS
On the women's side, the Saints captured five event titles while in Illinois. Outside of Brown's performance,
Mallorie Metzger won the 800 meters with a time of 2:20.77, with
Lyric Ford placing third with a 2:24.93 mark. The last of the track individual wins came from
Emoni Owens who won the 400-meter with a time of 1:01:24,
Courtney Talley placing second with a 1:01.63 time.

The women's throwers were dominant throughout both weights throw and shot put. On the shot-put side, Liz Vermillion placed first while
Nia Lyles and
Julia Hahn were right behind her in second and third. Hahn and Lyles put together their own highlights in the weight throw, with them places first and second, Hahn earning a PR in the process.

The Saints were able to pick up a trio of second place finishes as well, with Owens setting a new PR in 200 for second place.
Savannah Lesher earned a quality finish with a 5:21.23 PR for second in the mile.
Morgan Ahle and
Aziah Hubbard for the jumps crew tied in the high jump, each landing a 1.50-meter leap. Â

On the men's side, outside of Pickard, the big news came from Abdul-Mumin who's 6.69 long jump leap placed him third.

Both Saints' DMR teams: Metzger,
Alexa Lofgren, Fatimah Alamori and Ford for the women, and
Austin Terry,
Landon Oxford, Terry Tohaw,
Dawson McCown won the event for the Saints.
