VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Sarai Brown and
Harry Mitchell of Maryville track & field are NCAA Division II All-Americans.
At the NCAA DII Indoor Track and Field Championships, held in Virgina Beach, Va., at the Virginia Beach Sports Center, the duo made history for the Saints, becoming the first Saints in the programs history to earn All-American honors at the NCAA DII level.
Brown earned her All-American honor in the 60 meter, while Mitchell, as a true freshman, earned his All-American distinctions in both the 200 and the 400 meter.

During Friday's preliminaries, Brown led off Maryville's action in Virginia Beach, running the seventh-fastest time in the 60-meter at 7.45 to qualify for the finals and secure All-American status.
Mitchell's preliminaries came later Friday, beginning with the 400-meter. His time of 47.84 placed him sixth overall and first in his heat, making him one of just two freshmen to qualify for the finals. In the 200-meter, he again finished sixth, posting a time of 21.17. Both marks were personal bests for Mitchell.
When Saturday's finals arrived, Brown again took to the track first. In the final race of her indoor career, she placed seventh with a time of 7.48.
Mitchell improved both his time and placing in the 200-meter final, running another personal best of 21.07 to finish fifth.
Mitchell closed out Maryville's weekend in Virginia Beach in the 400-meter final, running a 47.02 to place seventh and secure his second All-American honor in his first collegiate season.
