MANAHAWKIN, N.J. - The Maryville University field hockey team was one of 13 NCAA Division II teams honored by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association with the 2024 National Academic Team Award. To earn the recognition, squads must post a team grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year.
The Saints had five student-athletes who earned the Scholars of Distinction award - Grace Austin, Calista Crocker, Ava Eiler, McKenna Radley and Cloey Turiello. To garner the distinction, student-athletes had to achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher.
Maryville had 17 individuals named to the 2024 NFHCA National Academic squad: Morgan Angle, Grace Austin, Jojo Cox, Calista Crocker, Jessie Earley, Ava Eiler, Cypress Guinn, Liz Hind, Paige Korte, McKenna Radley, Ella Reif, Lachlan Sanders, Tia Sansone, Alison Tom, Consuelo Torres Moore, Cloey Turiello and Delanie Winkelmann.
