ST. LOUIS – The Maryville track and field team, after seeing the SEMO hosted Joey Haines Invite get canceled, pivoted to the SLU Alumni Meet for the distance runners, only for that meet to get halted early due to rain in St. Louis. 

Before the rain hit, the Saints were able to get some races in, with Mallorie Metzger's fourth place in the 800-meter being the highest finish for the Saints. On the men's side, Dawson Mccown paced the Dawgs, placing sixth in the 1500 meter. 

Maddie Marschel was the other notable finish for the team, placing fifth in the 1500 with a time of 4:59.71.

After an impromptu bye week for majority of the team, the Saints will send their forces to the Outdoor Mule Relays, hosted by Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Mo. on Friday, April 11.
