Maryville University Athletics

She was a four-year member of the field hockey and basketball teams. "Mighty Mike" was a vital part of both teams and was among the basketball team's leading scorers in 1948, when the team took the college cup with a record of 11-0. She was captain of the field hockey team in her senior year.

As a four-year member of the Women's Athletic Association, she became Secretary in 1948 and Vice President in 1949 when she also chaired the annual Basketball Tournament which earned her the designation "all around Maryville girl."
