She was a four-year starter and letterwinner in soccer. Trina won the Top Freshman Award and was the team MVP for two years. Th team had a .540 winning percentage during her four years. For three consecutive year, she was one of the top players in the region and was selected as Second-team All-Region for two years and was once a First-team All-Region honoree. She was also a First-team Academic All-American in 1987. She hit .302 as a catcher on the softball team in 1989.
